NDMC upgrades two secondary schools

In keeping with the report of a survey committee formed by it, the New Delhi Municipal Council has upgraded two secondary schools to senior secondary level and merged four schools to upgrade them to secondary level.

NDMC had constituted a survey committee to assess the needs of merger and upgrading of schools, officials said june 4th.


The survey committee had recommended that there is a popular demand of upgrading of schools by the residents of NDMC area. Parents prefer to admit their children in a composite school from class I to XII.


"It has also become necessary to go in senior secondary schools due to implementation of new grading system of CBSE at the level of X standard," an official said.


As per the recommendation of survey committee, NDMC has upgraded existing NDMC Secondary Schools to composite co-ed Senior Secondary School at Tilak Marg and Lodhi Estate.


NP Boys Primary School, Lodhi Road, NP Girls Primary School, Lodhi Road, NP Boys Middle School, Lodhi Road and NP Girls Middle School, Lodhi Road have been merged and upgraded to secondary level that will also be now known as composite Co-Ed Secondary School. NP Primary School, Pandara Road has been merged with NP Primary School, Kaka Nagar.


Navyug Primary school, Tilak Marg has been upgraded to secondary school level and it is being shifted to the building of NP Primary School, Pandara Road.
