UK varsity woos physics graduates

The University of Southampton (UK) is inviting applications for its new course in MSc space systems engineering. This new programme is suitable for physics and engineering graduates and will focus on the design of all the elements to make a space mission. The course will provide knowledge and understanding of the space environment, spacecraft system and subsystem design and how the spacecraft industry functions. It will include core modules like spacecraft engineering design, concurrent engineering design, spacecraft instrumentation and spacecraft structural design. The course will start in October 2011 and the maximum number of students to be admitted will be 20. It is a full-time , one-year course. Candidates who wish to enrol should have an upper second-class Honours degree or equivalent in engineering, mathematics or a science-based subject.
