Slum rehab projects should earmark space for schools:Minister

Maharashtra Government has made provision of space for schools mandatory in the Slum Rehabilitation projects.
   
Minister for state for Housing Sachin Ahir told reporters that informal schools conducted in slum pockets would be given the status of formal schools and 400 sq ft space reserved for them in the slum projects.
    
He said at present there are 2000 ongoing SRA projects in Mumbai and the decision will be applicable to them as well.
