Drama school coming up in MP

Veteran BJP leader L K Advani would inaugurate the state-run drama school in Madhya Pradesh on June 17, devoted exclusively to promote theatre as a vocation.
   
Conceived by theatre personality, Vani Tripathy, the Madhya Pradesh Drama School would offer courses lasting one, two or three years.
   
Apart from providing courses in Indian classical and modern Indian theatre and western drama, the school will also specialise in folk drama of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
   
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has for long been wanting to set up a drama school in Madhya Pradesh on the lines of National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi.
   
The school advisory body includes a number of personalities including Bansi Kaul, Sanjana Kapoor of Prithvi Theatre and Anuradha Kapoor, Director of NSD.
