Four held for aiding impersonation during PET in Jabalpur

Four persons, including two students of a Bhopal-based engineering college, were arrested on charges of impersonation during the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (PET) held, police said.
 
The duo, identified as Vinay Patel from Bihar and Kabish Mittal, a resident of Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, were caught writing the PET, in place of Rakesh Modi and Abhishek, at Model High School here. They are the students of a Bhopal-based engineering college.
 
Besides the two, the police also apprehended Rakesh Singh of Mirjapur, Uttar Pradesh and Ram Singh, resident of Morena district in Madhya Pradesh, for hiring Patel and Mittal, Kotwali Area City Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Dandopiya, said.
 
The accused have been booked under sections 419 (cheating by personation) and 420 (cheating and dishonestly) of IPC, police said adding that they could be part of an intra-state racket.
