BAU and WDF sign MOU for agriculture project in Bihar

The Bihar Agriculture University (BAU), Sabour (Bihar) and New Delhi-based NGO - World Development Foundation (WDF) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the project - Agriculture KnowledgeDissemination System (ANDS) in Bihar.
 
The MOU was signed by the BAU's Dean Dr. A.P. Singh and the WDF President Hari Om Srivastava at a function here.
 
Under the agreement, the WDF and the BAU will collaborate with each other for setting a state-of-art electronic media and production centre (EMPC) at Sabour which will provide facilities for audio, video and multimedia development/production for promotion of agriculture.
 
The EMPC will have an audio and video studios, PCRrooms, PCR room, recording room/edition room, digital archives, library and auxiliary facilities.
 
A dissemination system consisting of web-casting using web portal for agriculture-related services will also be set up by the BAU, Sabour and WFD under which the farmers will be given specific information on demand by SMS from the Kisan Vikas Kendras (KVKs) linked to BAU, Sabour through hig speed internet connectivity.
