New state nursing college inaugurated-

A state college of nursing built at a cost of Rs 7 crore was inaugurated here today on the occasion of International Nurses Day.
   
Inaugurating the building, state Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said: "The teaching at the college would bestarted from this academic session only."
   
He said the government is planning to open four more such colleges at Pauri, Almora, Tehri and Pithoragarh in the state.
   
"Government is committed for strengthening health services in the state and has started Srinagar medical college and Haldwani medical college from its own resources. Apart from this, the government has also laid foundation stone for Doon medical college and Almora medical college," Nishnak added.
