Haryana extends period of guest teachers

The Haryana Government has decided to extend the period of engagement of guest teachers for one more year from April 1 this year to March 31, 2012, subject to certain conditions.   
While stating this here, a spokesman of Education Department said that after the expiry of the stipulated date that is March 31, 2012, the services of all the guest teachers would be understood to have lapsed in view of the judgment of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
  
In the event of a guest teacher being removed on the availability of regular teacher in case of transfer or promotion or direct recruitment, such guest teachers would be adjusted at other places in accordance with the adjustment policy already issued by the department, he added.
  
The spokesman said the engagement would subject to the outcome of pending writ petitions before the High Court/Supreme Court.
