Students throng "Vazhikaati" at Pondy.

On the first day wads of students thronged "Vazhikaati", a student's education guidance programme that is being held at Pondicherry.

The three day education guidance programme for plus two completed students hosted by 'Dinamalar' in association with SRM Group of Institutions at Subalakshmi Mahal in Muthialpet, Pondy, comprises of seminars with over 20 educational experts clarifying various doubts of students and parents under one roof; and over 50 education institution stalls keen to register and admit prospective students. 
 
Amidst raising temperatures, large number of students made it for seminars and the exhibition on the first day.

Speaking at one of its seminar sessions on the topic, 'Job opportunities for Health Science studies’, Shylaja, Lecturer at SRM University, job opportunities in field of  para-medical is vast. Para-medical forms the backbone of medical field. The ratio of doctors and other health care related specialist to the number patients found in India are very low. As result the scope for health science studies is enormous in India, she said.

In another session, speaking on the topic, 'Opportunities in the field of Bio-tech and Bio- Engineering', Mohammed Ali, Professor at SRM University told, excellent scope prevails for studies in Bio-Tech and Bio-Engineering for next 10 years. Only those having basic interest and knowledge in science can succeed this field. Persons completing higher studies like M.Tech and P.hd in this field get good jobs in foreign countries.

With more lectures to come on various topics in the next two days and more than 50 education stalls opened for students’ registration and admission, "Vazhikaati" concludes on April 10th.
