DLF Public School, Sahibabad organises recognition day

DLF Public S ch o o l , Sahibabad organised Recognition Day. The presence of chief guest, Jaya Jaitly , President, Dastkari Haat Samiti, members of the School Managing Committee and parents was acknowledged by school executive director, Dr Mrignaini and a warm welcome was extended by school chairman , Rakesh Khullar. More than 2400 parents and distinguished invitees were present. School principal Seema Jerath reflected on the school's plans to keep pace with the latest evolutionary trends in education to create 21century learning environment so as to enable students to think creatively and critically, be receptive , work in teams and communicate effectively.

Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar welcomed Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj of Sawan Ruhani Kirpal Mission . The master addressed the students on 'Ethical Values and Spiritual Development .' Rajinder Singh Maharaj blessed the students and inspired them to take up challenges in life. Speaking on the occasion, school principal Vandana Puri, stressed upon the need for all children to be good and spiritually conscious. Students of Rashtra Shakti Vidyalaya, Hastsal brought glory to the school by participating and winning prizes at zonal , inter-zonal , state and national level competitions. Balram (XI), Shashikant (XI) and Rahul Sethi (XII) stood first in Hindi essay writing, slogan writing and Punjabi recitation competition. The choir group stood second in Patriotic song, folk song and Qawwali competitions . Students of class VII and VIII achieved second position in Sanskrit poem recitation. The school band and Nukkad Natak team were awarded second prize. Director of Sports, Mahabali Satpal and school principal Shashi Harish gave away the prizes. An All India Darshan Academies' Sports Meet was organised by the Darshan Education Foundation, Delhi, at Chhatarasal Stadium. More than 1000 students from 16 schools across India participated in it. The meet was declared open with the release of balloons by Sant Rajinder Singh Maharaj, founder chairman and head of Sawan Kirpal Ruhani Mission/Science and Spirituality and Padamshree Mahabali Satpal. Coach Raj Singh, vice-president , Wrestling Federation of India; Champion Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar gold medalist at FILA 2010 World Wrestling Championships and 2010 CWG and Balbir Kumar Bawa, IGP-cum-Director , Vigilance Bureau Punjab were also present . Formation of the school logo on the beats of school song concluded the event. The souvenir "15 years of Darshan Academy - Celebrating the Human Spirit", and a CD of annual day hits were also released. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by school principal A David. Rajinder house received the trophy for the best house. Darshan Academy, Delhi bagged the senior championship trophy.

KR Mangalam World School, GK II celebrates sports day
K R Mangalam World School, GK II celebrated sports day. From pre-school to class V, all participated in the sporting events. Parents were also invited to watch the students in action. There was ample display of talent with determination . Various races were organised. For the tiny tots, 'Bowl Race' , 'Kangaroo Race' and 'Sack Race' were planned and for the older lot, 'Flat Race' , 'Relay Race' were organised. Students were divided section-wise and then intra-class races were held. Winners from each section competed in the final race. Relay races were conducted house wise. V P Tandon, chairman, Kamal Model School, Mohan Garden participated in a national seminar on 'Need for life skill based education' on March 12. The seminar was held at Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology , Mohan Garden. Vandana Tandon , Institute Director gave the welcome speech. Prof M C Sharma (school of education , IGNOU) was the chief guest. Mr Tandon stressed upon the need to have value based education for pertinent development of a child. He said that it is through parents and teachers collaboration as a facilitator that a child can have a promising future. Also present were Dr Saroj Sharma, Dean, University School of Education, GGSIPU; Prof Chander Bhushan, former head NCERT; Dr Manju Aggarwal, CIE, DU and Dr Dhananjay Joshi, University School of Education, GGSIPU. Dr Priti Srivastava gave the vote of thanks. The junior wing of DPS Noida staged their annual presentation "Once Upon A Time..." on March 3 in the MP Hall. The presentation showcased excerpts from popular fairytales like Thumbelina , Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood, Cinderella , Pinocchio, etc. A total of 430 students participated in it. School principal Kamini Bhasin said, "Let's keep alive the sense of imagination and wonder in children" . Chairman DPS Society , Ashok Chandra complimented the school and young performers for the spectacular show. School chairperson Dr Sharda Nayak was effusive in her praise for the young artistes on stage. Ramakrishna Sr Sec School, Vikaspuri organised a workshop on the topic 'The Perspective of Developing a Curriculum Transaction' . The resource person was Dr S K Bhatia, former Associate Professor CIE. Dr Bhatia illustrated the curriculum transaction by giving examples of instructional objectives. He presented the experiences required for accomplishing the instructional objectives. The key person demonstrated his presentation by involving the participants actively. The workshop was a platform that helped groom the school staff. Panchsheel Public School, Faridabad organised a competition 'Best out of waste' for mothers of pre-primary students. Different articles like banglebox , photo-frame , pen-stand etc, were prepared by them. Participation gift was given to all the participants. Speaking on the occasion, Tripti Hora (V-Chairman of PPS) said, "Women in India have traditionally been the custodians of our values, tradition and culture and we should respect them."
