Applications for HS special supplementary available

Chennai: Applications are invited from private candidates for the Higher Secondary Special Supplementary Examination.

According to the pres release, the exam will be held in June/July 2009 under 'Special Admission Scheme,' from private candidates who had not earlier applied in time.
Students failed in one or two or maximum of three subjects only could apply.
 
Private students applying under this scheme have to pay a special fee of Rs. 1,000 in addition to the examination fees, the release said.

The examination fees are Rs. 1,085 for one subject, Rs. 1,135 for two subjects and Rs. 1,185 for three subjects. All fee payments should done through DD obtained in favour of Director of Government Examinations, payable in Chennai.

The earlier rejected applicants, but had paid the examination fee can also apply under this scheme. Candidates’ should apply by paying the special fee of Rs. 1,000 through Demand Draft and had to enclose the memo sent by the department as evidence along with the filled up application.

Application forms would be available at Directorate of Government Examinations, College Road, Chennai – 6, All Chief Educational Offices, Office of the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations (Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Vellore, and Cuddalore), Joint Director (Education), Puducherry and all District Educational Offices from June 10 to June 12, between 10 a.m. to 5.45 p.m.
Filled in applications must be submitted in person at the Directorate of Government Examinations, Chennai-6 and applications sent by post or courier will not be accepted The last date for submitting applications is June 12 up to 5.45 p.m.

A self-addressed envelope affixing a postal stamp for Rs. 30 must be sent along with the application for sending mark certificates later. The headmaster of the school, where the candidate last studied, must attest the photo on the application as well as the Hall Ticket, the release stated.

After verifying applications, admission certificates with the register number and the name of the centre would be issued to candidates on the same day. The examination centre would only be fixed in Chennai, the release said.
