IECD to come up with new programme

The Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (IECD), Bharathidasan University,  in collaboration with Coimbatore-based BETA Technologies here, will launch new Certificate / Diploma programmes in Embedded System Design, and Hardware and Networking  on February 21.
 
Speaking to press persons, IECD Director K Parthasarathy said hands on training would be imparted through innovative programmes for developing creative expressions in the minds of the learners.

The objective is to bridge the gap between education and job requirement through infusion of employable qualities.

On behalf of the University, Registrar T. Ramasamy and L. Ramesh, CEO of BETA Technologies signed the agreement in the presence of Bharathidasan University Vice-Chancellor K Meena, he added.

He said a pass in Plus Two was the minimum eligibility for the certificate / diploma in Embedded System Design.

For Hardware Networking meant for school dropouts, the minimum qualification was a pass or fail in 10th standard. The duration of certificate and diploma programmes was three month and six month respectively. Employment for those completing the course will be facilitated by the university and BETA Technologies respectively, he added.
