Kalam to address students in Chicago

Updated on: Wednesday, February 02, 2011

Former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam will visit Chicago in April to address students on varied issues of environment, science and technology.

The visit is being organised by Indo-American Centre (IAC), a not-for-profit community service organisation serving the South Asian immigrant population.

During his visit, Kalam will have a question and answer session with local high school students and a collegiate luncheon with college students.

"The IAC and its Board of Directors are honoured to host Kalam. Chicago will have a great opportunity to meet an individual whose service as Indian President was only one among a wide array of significant contributions he has made worldwide. We are eager to bring the community together in celebration of these," IAC Executive Director Jay Luthra said in a statement.
