IIT-M offers summer fellowship programme 2011

IIT- Madras prepares to offer summer fellowship programme of two months with stipend to enhance awareness and interest in high quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences and Humanities students.

Enrolling students will be provided with stipend of Rs 6,500/- for two months from 16th May to 15th July 2011 who are also required to undertake a goal oriented summer mini-project at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

But, depending on the convenience, the selected candidates can undertake the project at any time subject to the availability of faculty.

Candidates pursuing third year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg)/Integrated M.E./M.Tech. programme, first year of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A, MBA are eligible to apply.

Students with excellent academic track records with high ranks in university examinations will be given preference highlighting their academic performance and achievement including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards/distinctions obtained is highly essential.

However, students of IITs are not eligible to apply.
