Food technology and management

With hectic lifestyles and awareness of food quality and safety rising among people, the food industry requires qualified and skilled personnel in managerial, research and development, processing, visual merchandising and retailing capacities.

M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai, is offering an inter-disciplinary postgraduate programme in food technology and management, to develop skills of students in both business and food sciences.

The students will undergo 60 days practical exposure and in-plant training. They must also complete a project of short duration guided by the industry experts, and a 6-month major project. The graduate is required to gain membership with professional bodies and participate and present papers.
