Students asked to concentrate on developing scientific attitude

 D. Napoleon, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment has called upon the students to concentrate more on developing scientific attitude.

Delivering the valedictory address at the science mela conducted at Ananda College in Devakottai near here, he said it was an era of technology, which had an impact in all walks of life and fields. Once people waited for a full day to make phone calls.

The situation now was that even farmers and small time labourers have mobile phones. It was made possible due to the advancement of technology. Though the scientific knowledge had been proliferating among the people, it had to be nurtured further so that the contribution of Indians in science would get a boost.

Highlighting the importance of women education, Mr. Napoleon said women have a greater role to play in the nation building.

It would make them empowered economically and culturally.

It would help the acceleration of educational movement in the country.

Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigalar, S. Sudalaimuthu, Vice-Chancellor, V. Yegnaraman, Director, Central Electrochemical Research Institute, M.R. Gopal, Assistant General Manager, NABARD, G. Pushparaj, Principal and others spoke in the two day event.
