Apollo Hospital launched post-diploma nursing courses with an aim to evolve specialised skill sets in eight critical disciplines.

Developed in collaboration with the Indian Nursing Council, the courses are offered through Apollo College of Nursing.

They are of one-year duration and involve 400 hours of theory and 1,500 hours of practical orientation. Personnel with GNM and B.Sc. (Nursing) qualifications are eligible for these courses.

Apollo Hospitals Chairman Prathap C. Reddy said the specialised post-diploma nursing curricula are imperative for building the much-needed specialised nursing manpower.

It is proposed to develop curriculum for 18 such courses soon, he said.
