'How to choose Engineering Courses' - Mannar Jawahar

Chennai: To surpass in Anna University Engineering Counselling , a special seminar carried out to guide plus two completed students which was held on 24 May at Kalaivanar Arangam.

Large number of students and parents mobbed for engineering counseling seminar session, which was devised by Dinamalar in association with Jaya Group of Colleges organized 'Ungalal Mudiyum' programme for plus completed students who wish to enter  Anna University through TNEA.

Dr. Mannar Jawahar, Anna University, Vice Chancellor, participated as a special guest and inaugurated the programme and delivered speech on how to choose engeneering courses in colleges. He said , 'students need to undergo three phases before entering to college education, first stage , education before class 10, second stage  education in  11th and 12th standard , and finally the third stage , college education after plus two examination'.

'Right now you are 16yrs old, you spend four years for engineering studies, later in your 20th age you find a job and as such your life cycle takes your work to 60th age.  Hence this four years studies, which is your valuable opportunity to determine your life for next 49 years'

Dr , Rhymend Uthariaraj, Secretary, Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions, addressed on ' Rules and Regulations of Counselling', regarding how students can equip themselves to surpass in counselling session. Addressing to students he said, comparing to last year students have shown more interest in opting engineering courses, till now 1,53000 applications have sold out.

To join in engineering courses in Tamil nadu, the applicant should be Indian citizen and to be a residents of tamil nadu. The candidate need not provide residential certificate if he had completed his  school education from 8th standard to 12th  in Tamilnadu .

Mr. Jayaprkash Gandhi, Education Consultant, delivered speech on 'Colleges and Courses under Anna University',  regarding various courses offered in the institution During the occasion he said,  'many have misconception that - IT field have slumped drastically, and there no importance in choosing IT field anymore, but this is not true, IT sector have bright future in coming years'

Following this function, next programme would be held at Madurai on 25 May, organised by Dinamalar in association with PSR Engineering college, Sivakasi . Next in Coimbatore on 6 June and in Villupuram ,at  Deivanai womens college on 7 June.
