Updated on: Thursday, October 21, 2010

MCD decided to issue identity cards to students studying in the civic-body run schools.

It also directed Education Inspectors to regularly monitor complaints and facilities available for students at the institutions.

The decisions were taken at a meeting of the MCD Education Committee. "Every student will be provided with an Identity Card which would have details, including the student's name, father's name, address, roll number and class," said Mahinder Nagpal, Chairman of MCD Education Committee.

He also said information pertaining to the facilities and services available for students studying in MCD's schools will be properly displayed on the Notice Board to be installed in every school.
