Latest tracking system at VIT

Vellore: Vellore Institute of Technology has emerged out to be first in the country and second in the world to have Radio Frequency Identification Lab (RFID).

This system would enable the University authorities to track the college possessions or the student or anything if they were tagged.  Apart from this, it would help the students to explore new spheres in their respective discipline.  

Inaugurating the Wi-Fi lab and RFID lab, joint venture of VIT University and Motorola partner Globalconnect and Vellore online, the GM of Enterprise WLAN, Motorola Suji  Hajela said, VIT is the only institution in the country to have such a facility and foremost one was initiated  in Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg.
