Hyderabad: The National Institute of Technology (NIT)-Warangal has signed academic collaboration agreements with Finland's University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology, an institute official said on Thursday.

The pacts were signed last week in Finland, NIT-Warangal Director YV Rao said on his return from that country.

"These pacts allow for collaborations in systems, teaching methodologies, courses, content, hands-on learning, student exchange programmes and interaction with the industry," Rao said.

NIT-W entered into a similar pact in February with ESIGELEC School of Engineering, Rouen, France, to promote research and academic exchange in automation and instrumentation and embedded systems.

NIT-W, which is celebrating its golden jubilee year, also has collaborative agreements with Bellfort Technical University of France, as well as Lawrence Technical University and Cincinnati University of the US.
