Used books on sale at British Council

Its good news to city skimmers and bookworms. British Council conducts scramble sale of  its used books for ardent readers at throw away prices.

Every year, as part of its quality Service, it replaces 10% of its stock. In the process it pulls out books out of the self for varied reasons to maintain its own standards. These withdrawn books are subsequently made available, at a nominal cost, only to its members.

Shortly, it plans to organise one such sale for its individual members.  The sale will be organised on Saturday 25 September 2010 between 11 am and 4 pm at the British Council Division.

Every memeber will have an opportunity to choose from a collection of about 2000 volumes of books.  The books include subjects like Fiction, Management, Medicine and books from the Young Learner Centre.

The books are classified into 7 categories and priced at Rs 30/-, Rs 50/-, Rs 75/-, Rs 100/-, Rs 150/-, Rs 200/- and above Rs 200/-.

      The sale will be on a first-come, first-served basis (11 am to 4 pm)

      No blocking of books in advance

      There is no restriction on the number of books an individual can buy
