France interested in exchange programmes with India

India and France is working on various initiatives in promoting relationship between the two nations through cultural and educational exchange programmes, Kolkata-based Consulate General of France Jean Louis Rysto said here.
The consulate general who is on a seven-day tour to the state, during a meeting with Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, expressed his desire for organising a cultural exchange programme with Arunachal Pradesh, official sources informed.
 
"We have a similar culture that of yours and coming up with a proposal for organising a cultural exchange programme incorporated with handicrafts and textile exhibition between France and Arunachal Pradesh," Rysto said.
 
He also expressed his desire on promotion of education through students exchange programmes besides preservation of age old manuscripts, health programmes and social issues.
 
The chief minister assured him of a business delegation exchange programme between France and Arunachal Pradesh, sources said.
