Maha govt has assured to create Education Tribunal Act: ABVP

ABVP, the student's wing of the BJP, today said that the Maharashtra government has given an assurance of creating a separate 'Education Tribunal Act' to control admission and fee structure.
   
A delegation had met Higher and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Tope, who assured to introduce the new legislation soon, an ABVP press release said.
   
The minister has further assured that the government will pay interest on education loan and also said that 90 per cent of the scholarship amount would be paid into the student's bank account before the start of the academic year, it said.
   
Earlier, the ABVP organised a protest rally at Azad Maidan against the problems in the education field. It was decided to organise a nationwide "chakka jam rasta roko" on September 24 outside colleges.
