Mixed bag in class 10, 12 board exams in Delhi

New Delhi: Unlike the countrywide trend of girls outperforming boys, in Delhi and the neighbouring areas, boys have outshone girls in the class 12 Indian School Certificate (ISC) board exams. In the class 10 exam, however, girls have done better than boys.

With a pass percentage of 97.63 percent, girls have done better than boys in class 10. The pass percentage of boys was 96.85 percent.

In class 12, however, boys have a better pass percentage of 98.98 percent. The pass percentage of girls was 98.75 percent.

A total of 22,103 students - 12,749 boys and 9,354 girls - took the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) class 10 exam. In the class 12 ISC exams, 358 students sat for the exams, of which 198 were boys and 160 girls.

The overall pass percentage in the class 10 exam was 97.99 percent, while the overall pass percentage in the class 12 exam was 98.88 percent.
