Sibal to lay foundation stone for IIM in Haryana on Sep 3

Union Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal will lay the foundation stone for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Garnawati village in Rohtak district on September 3.

The prestigious institute would be developed over an area of 200 acres at a cost of Rs 800 crore, said Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda after meeting the Union Minister at New Delhi last evening.

He said classes for the IIM had already been started at the campus of Mahrishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

Mr Hooda also succeeded in getting a Central School in Rewari district as Mr Sibbal accepted his request to start Central School classes at Bhakli village from this academic session.

He apprised the Minister that thousands of soldiers were serving the nation from the Bhakli, Rewari, Salhawas, Jhajjar area.

The Minister had earlier agreed in principle about the Central School but now it had been formally approved. Mr Hooda thanked Mr Sibal and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for considering this long pending demand.
