MCA exam cancelled

Updated on: Monday, July 12, 2010

The University of Madras on Sunday cancelled the examination for an MCA correspondence paper and decided to come up with a rescheduled date later.

This follows Saturday's incident when the examination for another paper “Object oriented programming with C++” was cancelled after the University found it had been leaked.

At Kolathur, one of the examination centres, nearly 620 students, many of them from far-off places, were to write the exam on Saturday. The exam was to begin at 2 p.m. and the centre authorities were informed about the cancellation at noon.

Vice-Chancellor of the University of Madras G. Thiruvasagam said “ On Monday, after consultation with the staff we would decide when the exam should be held,”.
