For thinking minds

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and R&D-based tech company MindLogicx Infotech, organised the Universities of India 2010, a knowledge conclave to improve the education system in India, in Bengaluru recently.

The two-day conclave saw a congregation of experts from the industry, as well as 75 Vice-Chancellors and Directors from universities across India. Besides discussions the conclave gave the VCs a great opportunity to share their experiences. Vinay L Deshpande, Past Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council & Chairman and CEO, Encore Software Ltd urged universities and colleges to move from aiming at 100 per cent placement to creating 100 per cent thinking minds, which would automatically lead to 100 per cent employment.
