TN Govt to bear tuition fees for family without graduates

Chennai: Providing a big boost to families who do do not have any graduates, The Tamil Nadu Government today announced that it would bear the entire tuistion fees payable by the students of such families in their quest to pursue professional education.

Delivering the customary address to the State assembly, Governor Surjit Singh Barnala said irrespective of their caste or income, the entire tuition fees payable by the students, hailing from families not having any graduates, would be borne by the Government.

Be it the Government and private engineering, medical, dental, agricultural, veterinary and law colleges, after securing admission under the single window system, the entire tuition fees would be borne by the Government, to enable the students pursue higher education, Barnala added.
