Australian expertise for security training

Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE (SCIT), the largest provider of vocational education and training under the Department of Education of the Queensland Government, Australia, has entered into an agreement with the Chennai-based JMPS Sanjivini Consultants to introduce world class programmes in security training in India.

Wil Brakels, the Business Development Head, SCIT, signed the MOU in Chennai with Commodore S Shekhar, managing director, JMPS Sanjivini Consultants.

On successful completion of the training, a certificate from Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE as well as from a reputed university in India will be given.

The certification will be graded at various levels and lead to accredited diplomas. This will greatly increase the employability of the trainees.

In addition, the quality of services available in the security sphere to the industry and other organisations in the country will vastly improve.

JMPS Sanjivini Consultants, Chennai, imparts specialised and focused training in soft skills to corporate and educational institutions.

It also conducts free training courses for school children, especially from the rural areas.

The first programme is expected to be rolled out in February 2010.
