IGNOU workshop to train Lankan academics from Dec 14

New Delhi, Dec 12 : The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)'s School of Education will organise a ten-day training workshop for a group of Sri Lankan academics, beginning December 14.

''The workshop, for academics from National Institute of Education (NIE), Sri Lanka, will be held from December 14-23,'' IGNOU spokesperson Ravi Mohan said today.

The workshop will focus on curriculum design, development and evaluation. It aims to provide the participants with theoretical underpinnings of curriculum and the major issues related to it, he added.

He also said participants will learn the know-how of development and transaction of curriculum through the electronic media and online delivery techniques.

Field visits to schools and organisations like National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) and National University of Education Planning and Administration (NEUPA) have been scheduled as part of the workshop.
