New Delhi: DUTA stands against for NKC'S proposal to disaffiliate colleges from varsities

The Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA), were not in favour to the National Knowledge Commission (NKC) proposal to create an undergraduate board to look into curriculum, exams, degrees etc for colleges.

Aditya Narayan Misra, DUTA president said, 'The federal character of DU has helped in its qualitative academic growth in imparting education as well as research activities. We would not allow any dilution.'

The proposed undergraduate board will function like the ICSE or CBSE board, and will execute all responsibilities academic and administrative that university fulfills for its colleges, including curriculum, exams, degrees and finance.
