Wipro announces admission to WASE

Wipro Academy of Software Excellence (WASE), an off - campus ‘earn while you learn' programme pioneered by Wipro in collaboration with BITS, Pilani has announced admissions for the year 2010 - 11. The admission process involves a national - level online common entrance test conducted between December 9 and 20, 2009.

Since 1995

Started in 1995, WASE offers B.Sc., BCM and BCA students an opportunity to earn an MS degree from BITS, Pilani without having to complete an engineering degree. WASE is a four year, eight semester course where the candidates train with Wipro and work on live projects on weekdays and attend classes over the weekends. The first seven semesters comprise of course work, with the eighth semester being set apart for a dissertation. At the end of four years, candidates get an MS degree from BITS, Pilani equivalent to their full-time two year MS degree programmeme. Wipro bears the entire course fee and also pays the WASE candidates a monthly stipend for the duration of the course. The programme is open to graduates and final year students of B.Sc. / BCM / BCA from Mathematics, Computer Sciences, IT, Physics, Statistics and Electronics branches. The students should have studied Mathematics till twelfth standard and should have scored 60 per cent or above in tenth, twelfth and in graduation till date.
