Rajasthan starts 10 new Polytechnic colleges

Jaipur: The Pink City is all set to shine with ten new highly standardized Polytechnic colleges soon to be launched with the aid of the Centre.

The Central Government has estimated a whopping Rs.123 crore on the project and has initially sanctioned Rs.12 crores.These colleges would be developed as model colleges of the state.

The technical education department has decided that these colleges would come up in Bundi, Dausa, SriGanganagar, Hanumangarh, Jalore, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Nagaur, Pali and Tonk.

The department Chief Secretary, Mr. Vipin Chandra Sharma informed that, 'The construction of new buildings for colleges would start soon. According to the guidelines issued by the centre, these colleges would have modern apparatus and best faculty akin to the best Polytechnic colleges of the country.'

Permission has also been granted for Polytechnic colleges in Baran, Dholpur, Jaiselmer, Dungarpur and Pratapgarh. The admission procedure at the institutes will start from the new academic session.
