ICT education for school children: NIIT

New Delhi: To meliorate students knowledge and talent to compete with today's fast growing technology, 29 Municipal schools in the city gets ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) education offered by NIIT Limited.

The New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has signed accordance with NIIT Limited to provide ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) education.

The teachers will be trained by NIIT and offer computer-aided education to 11,500 students. The customized training to students from Classes 6 to 12 initially for a period of one year.

NIIT will setup fully furnished computer labs with hardware and connected accessories inside NDMC and Navyug Schools; offer training on Computer Science and Informatics Practices for +2 level students; and offer basic computer education programs for students of Classes 6th to 10th.
 
NDMC is constantly striving to make schools the best in education and facilities.For this purpose they have partnered with NIIT project to provide the best of computer education and training to students.

According to Mr. L. Balasubramanian, President-School Learning Solutions, NIIT, 'NDMC's initiative for encouraging computer education for children belonging to lower socio-economic strata of the society is laudable.
 
NIIT's customized training programs will open new vistas of teaching and learning for Municipal School staff and students, and will integrate technology in teaching-learning process.
