Honour for TNAU scientist

The Indian Society of Ornamental Horticulture (ISOH), New Delhi, has conferred the ISOH Founder Fellowship award on M. Jawaharlal, Head, Department of Floriculture and Landscaping, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.

According to a university release, Mr. Jawaharlal received the award from C.D. Mayee, chairman, Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, at a national conference on ‘Floriculture for Livelihood and Profitability’ held in New Delhi recently.

Mr. Jawaharlal has been instrumental in standardising the production and post-harvest technologies for flower crops and has initiated the release of many improved varieties.

The award was in recognition of his “significant contribution in the field of floriculture.”
