VIDURA-09 ends in a high note

State-level management students meet, VIDURA-09, organised by Maharajah’s Post-Graduate College was a rare opportunity for students of MBA from various colleges to prove their mettle in various events.

Some 350 students from 38 colleges in the State participated in the meet.

Former Vice-Chancellor of GITAM University M. Gangadhar Rao felt that the meet would enable students to express opinion and foster skills and suggested management colleges to give priority to field observations and also impart quality education. P. V. G. D. Prasad Reddy, Registrar, Andhra University said that such events would promote competitive spirit and also spoken skills.

Students from Visakhapatnam excelled in majority of the events. In all 33 participants received winners, runners and consolation prizes. The students who took the top honours in various events are: P. Lavanya Priyadarshini (Andhra University), M. Sailaja (G.V.P. College, Visakhapatnam), P. Baburao (VITAM, Visakhapatnam), P.Poornima and group (M.V.G.R. College of Engineering, Vizianagaram) B.T. Jalandha Rao and K. Srinivas (G.V.P. College, Visakhapatnam) K. Madhu Vamsi and team (A.U. College) P. Sunil and group (Gayatri College, Srikakulam) Kumari (Vignan, Visakhapatnam) B. Sagar (Pydah College, Visakhapatnam).

The meet ended with enthralling music performance by Vizianagaram Brothers and Surabhi Sravani, winners of various TV shows.
