ndri The National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal has invited applications from interested and eligible candidates to apply for its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes under various specialisations for the commencing academic session.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification:

The candidates interested in applying for this programme must have completed their Master's degree programme in the relevant field with at least 60 per cent marks or an overall grade point average (OGPA) of 6.60 out of 10.00 or 3.25 out of 5.00 or 2.60 out of 4.00 (For SC/ST/PH candidates 50 per cent marks of OGPA of 5.60 out of 10.00, 2.75 out of 5.00 or 2.20 out of 4.00) or must possess a certificate from registrar of having OGPA equivalent to 60 per cent marks.

The candidates appearing for final year examination of Master's degree programme can also apply-- subject to producing his/her masters degree certificate on the date of counseling.

Age limit:

Minimum age limit for Ph.D. candidates shall be 21 years. No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit.

Selection procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination.

The last date for sale of information bulletin at NDRI counter is March 16
The last date for receipt of application forms is March 30
Entrance exam will be held on May 13
