CA Final Exam (CPT) Result Analysis

exam resultThe Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) declared the final results for Chartered Accountants (CA) final examination and the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) on July 17. The candidates who appeared for the CPT examination can now check their results at www.caresults.nic.in.

The first rank in the CA Final Examination results was jointly achieved by Telangana boy Rahul Aggarwal and Delhi's Shailee Chaudhary, who scored 606 marks out of a total 800 marks (75.75 percent) Mumbai's Deval Bhadresh Modi and Chitturi Lakhsmi Anusha from Andhra Pradesh have come second, with a score of 71.88 percent in CPT Results.

A total of 42,847 candidates appeared for the exam, and they recorded a pass percentage of 8.26 percent, a slight increase from the pass percentage of 8.23 percent in the November 2014 exam results. This statistic has been fluctuating greatly since the past three years, the pass percentage in May 2012 was 16.38 percent, 12.97 percent in November 2012, 3.11 percent in the November 2013 and 7.29 percent in November 2014 Results.

In order to make it to the Chartered Accountants (CA) merit list, the candidates are required to score a minimum of 55 percent marks, and for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) they need to score a minimum of 60 percent marks to be included in the merit list. The students can access their respective merit lists using their roll number at the official website.

The CA Final Examination was conducted from May 2 to 17 and the CPT was held on June 13 in two sessions. ICAI conducts the Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test commonly known as CA CPT examination as a gateway to admissions to chartered accountancy programmes. It is an entry level examination for CA courses.
