doctorPursuing overseas MBBS is an advantage to the Indian students who do not get an opportunity, although they possess the interest to study medicine. Getting a admission in a renowned college in developed nations is really a tough task. adding to this cost of studying in these institutions will be quite high without any scholarships.

Understanding this situation, smaller countries advertise to lure students saying, 'Foreign MBBS in just less than 5 lakh; we provide MBBS seats, just pass in plus two are eligible'. First of all student should realize that, getting admission blindly by believing such advertisements will never be the right decision.

Generally, Medical Council of Indian (MCI) formulated certain guidelines to study MBBS overseas. MCI doesn’t approve all MBBS from overseas. Although, students successfully complete MBBS in any country, it is a must to pass the ‘Screening Test’ conducted by MCI to practice medicine in India. Adding to this MCI won't allow candidates to take up ‘Screening Test’ if they had completed MBBS from particular institutions. The names of such ineligible institutions are published in the council’s official site.

Similarly, students should also to be known that those completing one year PG studies in overseas will not be eligible for Government jobs in India. Hence, it is important to plan out earlier about some important details such as in which country to study, what course to study and in which educational institute to study. Additionally, it is also vital to confirm the quality of education and the recognition of the college and the course.
