Delhi University fee Refund Rules

Delhi University admissions have begun and have got along a new set of rules for the undergraduate students of 2015-2016. The students applying to the university have now been issued a notice stating rules for refund of fees. The online registration process for undergraduate programmes began on May 28 while offline admissions will begin on June 5.

The students who opt out of a course on or before the last date of Delhi University admission for a particular cutoff list will be refunded with a deduction of Rs 250. Those who want to quit the course after the last date of admission will be refunded with a deduction of Rs 500.Admissions that are cancelled post July 31 will be penalised with a fee of Rs 1000 from the fee. There will be no refund if admission is cancelled after August 16.

As many as 1,35,549 candidates have applied to the Delhi University, out of which 68,857 paid the fees. There were around 46,964 General category candidates and 14,106 candidates under the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) category. DU officials have also made announcements stating that said that it is not possible for the university to accommodate all the additional subjects resulting in many subjects not being mentioned on the online forms.
