Anna University without accreditation with NAAC

It is a serious issue that two premier Universities in Tamil Nadu via Anna University and University of Madras do not have mandatory accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditations council (NAAC). Because of this the out coming students face problems in getting jobs or admissions to Higher students.

It lack of quality is the reason, the surprise is what happened to our prestigious universities we, the products of these universities are proud about the Alumnus of these institution, and for all of us this is an serious issue.

UGC found that 77 universities in India, including 8 in Tamil Nadu, had let NAAC accreditation expire in 2014. 29 universities applied for re accreditation.

Anna University and Madras University have let accreditation to expire.

The 150 year old university of Madras, general and proudly called as the parent University for the state has been functioning without accreditation for the past two years nearly. The NAAC awarded grade to the university with cumulative grade point of 86% last time this expired on 2012.
