Low number of pass for PG seats for Cardio

The number of Cardio specialists graduating every year in India is simply 250. In India, heart diseases are the biggest killer. The PG Seats are vey limited in 381 Medical Colleges.  It is also not evenly distributed.  The number of seats in clinical subject that deal with patients directly is low, though they attract the most number of students.  In the end, there who don’t make it to those seeks make do with para clinical seats.

India is leading to became the first in diabetics affected people in the world, we have only 50 PG seats in endocriminology.  It is obvious the uncontrolled diabetic leads to kidney failure, heart failure and stroke.  The US has 250 PG seats in this subject.

World Health Organization puts tuberculosis as the sixth highest contributor to the number of seats in India; we have only 307 specialized Doctors graduating in pulmonary medicine every year.

Cancer is the most feared disease in India; it has only 48 seats for speaker.  But US has 508 seats in this subject.  Every 10 minutes a mother dies in India, but we have only 1400 obstetrics and gynecology seats.  There are 93 seats in gastroenterology whereas US has 433 seats.

On the other hand, there are 5833 para clinical PG seats. Pathology is in the top with 1201 MD seats. Micro Biology has 724 and community Medicine 736, Bio Chemistry 481 Physiology 672.
