To hone the leadership skills of the youth at the college level and to inculcate in them a sense of compassion , Youth Alliance, a platform with the aim to build a movement of young leaders to meet India's problems, has launched a new programme — Lead the Change-Igniting Hearts. Prakhar Bhartiya, co-founder, Youth Alliance, said, "By addressing issues such as women empowerment and human trafficking, education, policy, environment, rural development, we aim to create leaders who can create jobs and contribute meaningfully in any organisation they join." After five weeks, personal mentoring will be provided to participants . "As part of the programme , participants would be required to take up projects.

The group will be divided and they will participate in activities such as — students from low and high income groups will write letters on what change they want in the city, setting up an enterprise, etc. They will learn through social action," he adds. The programme will be held in different places across Delhi. The last date to apply is August 15.
