Lt Atul Katarya Memorial School, Gurgaon adjudged the best school

Lt Atul Katarya Memorial School, Gurgaon participated in various inter-school competitions held at Chiranjiv Bharti School, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon and bagged the 'Suraj Kumari Memorial Ansal Rolling Trophy' and was adjudged the best school. The students showed stupendous performance in various competitions .

Tarushree, Varuna, Harshita and Alisha bagged the first position in 'Kaleidoscope of Colours.' Shahin and Maitreyee stood first in the 'Fingers at Creativity.' School chairman Dhanraj Katarya and principal Anshu Nakra congratulated the students for their remarkable performance. Rosary Sr Sec School, Kingsway Camp has started e-care services under the guidance of school principal Fr Sabu Joseph. This computerised system will help bridge the gap between the teachers and parents and will build a schoolfamily partnership in nurturing and enhancing the students. This portal, where parents, teachers and management will be in touch with each other, will cater to the needs of all the stakeholders involved in the growth and development of the children.

The system will provide direct information to the parents about daily events and activities of their wards on mobile and internet. A team of ten students from Deep Memorial Public School, Ghaziabad participated in the 15UP state interschool shooting championship organised by UP State Rifle Association at Banda (UP) and won a total of 12 medals. More than 300 shooters from different schools participated in the shooting championship. The school principal congratulated the winners and their coach Ved Prakash Sharma. KR Mangalam World School, GK-II organised the investiture ceremony. School principal Archana Sagar congratulated the newly elected members of the students' council. The chief guest, Sharmistha Mukherjee (kathak dancer), administered the oath to the office bearers. Special performers sang a song and presented a scintillating dance performance. Vice-chairman of the KR Mangalam Group, Jaidev Gupta was also present.

Academic co-ordinator of the senior school proposed the vote of thanks. A model from DLDAV, Pitampura, was awarded the first prize in a competition organised by Swiss Embassy on 'Environmental Protection' on the occasion of its golden jubilee celebrations. The school model 'Enviro Progna - Ectifier' aimed to generate awareness on saving environmental degradation by aerosols in the current scenario. Information on the model was presented by Ritika, Archita and Lakshay under the guidance of teacher co-ordinator Anita Rani. Selected from among 120 models from different schools in level I, it was among 12 models judged by eminent scientists at level II. School chairman Shrideep Omchery expressed delight at the outstanding achievement of the school in the competition and congratulated the school principal Anita Wadehra, teacher and students for their efforts. Queen Mary's School, Northend, Model Town organised an array of Hindi competitions for classes VI to XI as the school celebrated the month of July as the Hindi month. Various inter-house competitions comprising - kavita pratiyogita, charitra manchan, bhashan pratiyogita, 'hasya kavi sammelan' , hasya - sansmaran vachan' etc were organised under the guidance of Shiksha (head of Hindi department). School principal Anupma Singh felicitated the students with certificates and prizes. Tecnia International School, Rohini organised a cleanliness awareness campaign . Students of classes VI to XI participated in it. The programme started with a march-past from the school ground. The students formed different groups and participated in cleaning the area. The programme conveyed the messages 'Help others selflessly' and 'Health is wealth' . Senior teachers of the school coordinated the programme. The healthy and socially useful activity received appreciation from school principal Dhiraj Thapliyal. Himalaya Public Sr Sec School, Rohini organised the investiture ceremony where the members of school council were invested with authority to delegate duties, obligations and responsibilities at school. Teachers conferred different offices of responsibility to the members by pinning the respective badges. Tamish and Rupali were chosen as head boy and head girl respectively. The school principal addressed the gathering and emphasised on the role of school council to maintain the discipline and decorum at school. The session ended with the oath taking ceremony. Hillwoods Academy, Preet Vihar organised an eco seminar in the school premises. Various competitive events were organised to sensitise students about environmental issues. An eco exhibition with display of products made out of waste products and newspapers was the major attraction of the event. A power point presentation of eco-club activities conducted in school was shown to the guests - Aarti Verma and Supriya Singh from TERI and school students. A dance performance on environmental issues by the students made everyone realise how important it is to preserve it. The guests as well as teachers and students planted saplings on the occasion. An issue of 'Green Page' was released by the school principal. A short film on the 'Uttarakhand Disaster' was shown. The seminar ended with the prize distribution ceremony.
