State Government regarding RTE Act

State Government of Tamil Nadu came out with a formula to compensate private unaided schools for educating under privileged children admitted under the 25% reservation clause of RTE Act.

The officials told in apart form the compensation to school managements for tuition cost incurred parents will also be compensated for money spent on uniforms and books.

Mr. Pitchai, the Director of Matriculation Schools said that the expense of educating a child did not stop with tuition fee and it includes money spent on books and uniforms.

According to the reports, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan wins of the govt will be in charge in the reimbursement procedure.

School may get the reimbursement in two instalments, one in September 2013 and the next in January 2014.
