 Chennai School towards Chess

Playing Chess is encourage by the state Government itself in Tamil Nadu. Ms. Jayalalitha, the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu stated in the assembly that under Rule 110 in the Assembly in 2011 declared that school students in the age group 7 to 17 would be encourage to play Chess.  Based on this the Director of School Education Rameswara Murugan issued circular to all the schools.  School are directed to conduct Chess awareness campaigns from 12^th to 18^th August and they have to conduct competition at school level in August 23^rd. the winners in the school level will take part in zonal level and in the same way the zonal winners will participate in district level.

The winners of District will participate in state level. The zonal level will be conducted on August 31^st, the district level on September 7^th and the state level on November.
