To avoid caste names from Schools and colleges.

Many schools and colleges are titled with caste names in Tamil Nadu and in India.  It it right? Is it sound well and Educational Institution has an adjective of caste name?

It is obvious the many institutions have caste name in their sing board as well in the registered record as prefix or suffix. A public interest petition is filed against this issue.

The petitioner Advocate Saravanan submitted many instances and submitted a list of government and aided colleges and schools carrying the names of leaders or trustees with their caste names. The advocate argued that a welfare government should not run caste schools for examples we can refer the names of few Institutions. Like Chikkaiah Nacker College, Bharathiar University, Nallamuthu Gounder, Mahalingam College, Bharathiar university, Government Kallr Higher Secondary school.  Chozhavandar, Nadar Saraswathi Higher Secondary School, Usilampatti, sengunthar Higher Secondary School, Vellai Kotti, Aruppukottai.

Madras High Court has ordered notices to be sent to the chief secretary, Principal Secretary and Higher Educational Department. To remove caste names added before and after in the government and government aided school and the colleges in the state.
