With only few months to go for CAT ’13, Career Launcher  organized ‘Smart Quant Cracker' (SQC) session at Ethiraj Women’s college, Egmore.

Projecting in a completely different light, the workshop presented the quantitative aptitude section showing the aspirants how a Quantitative expert would approach quantitative questions and solve them!

The three-hour-long power-packed session promises an increase of 40 marks in Quant scores and saw many students participating.

Addressing the students at the workshop, industry veteran Gejo Sreenivasan, said, “The CAT is an aptitude test for would-be managers. Hence the paper merely simulates day-to-day situations that a manager tackles at work, like performing under pressure, managing tight deadlines, making quick decisions and tackling sudden changes.”

Known for his unique mentoring style where he introduces students to techniques like using simple logic instead of complex mathematical calculations, strategic elimination of options, Gejo Sreenivasan anchored the session and took the audience through simple techniques that can be used to solve quantitative questions. He also explained how to apply these fundamentals to CAT questions from the past five years’ papers.

As part of the session, students were encouraged to solve questions using his techniques. Students, who attended this workshop, went back with a confidence that they will be able to do their magic in the upcoming CAT exam.
