2.05 lac seats are available through Single Window Counselling process out of which only 1.24 lac were filled.

Almost 96% of seats in 7 Chennai colleges have been filled. 68% filled in Kancheepuram and 73.44% in Thiruvallur filled. In Virudhunagar 12 colleges 76% of seat were filled.

Ariyalur has the lowest rate of seat allocation 5 colleges in the district filled 33% of seats.

When a college facts to fill more than 10% of seats, it results in severe consequences. They can not offer sustainable quality education.

When a rural college fails to fill more than 10% or 20% of seats it will have severe consequences in the question of sustainability.

The All India Council of Technical Education stresses the colleges must have facilities to satisfy the intake and not with the number of seats filled.
